The Schladming-Dachstein region in Styria is known as a cross-country paradise. There is a wide network of trails in the valley and at the summit for beginners, experienced and professionals. The center of Nordic skiing is the municipality Ramsau am Dachstein, which is just 7 kilometers away from Schladming. Because of the perfect cross-country skiing conditions, the international elite of nordic ski-sport train here again and again.
Thanks to the well-developed public transport, the trails are easy to reach even without a car. For cross-country skiing and skating newcomers, various courses are offered. Even in biathlon, you can try out here.
In our ski room, you can store your cross-country skiing or skating skis during your holiday at the Schütterhof. If you do not have your own equipment or you can bring your own, you can borrow it from our cooperation partner "Schi Lenz" with a price advantage.
The best cross-country skiing conditions are in Ramsau am Dachstein, 7 kilometers away. Here you can expect a 220-kilometer network of trails, various difficulty levels.
But the best thing is that the trails on the Ramsauer Plateau are at altitudes of between 1,100 and 2,700 meters, so they can usually look forward to a sunny winter fun over the fog fields.
Absolutely recommended is the Dachstein panorama trail in Ramsau. At an altitude of 2,700 m, the world's longest glacier trail extends with 18 km of diagonal and skating trails. If you do not want to drive to Ramsau am Dachstein, you will also find attractive trails in Schladming.

Regular buses run between Schladming and Ramsau am Dachstein. In and around Schladming you can use the Planai bus or the ski bus. Current bus schedules and information can be obtained from us at the reception.

The cross-country school Fit & Fun in Ramsau am Dachstein offers a wide range of courses for cross-country skiing, skating and biathlon. It is said to be one of the best cross-country schools in Europe.
